First Element Fuel & True Zero are revolutionizing clean, eco-efficient automotive transportation through the development of a hydrogen fueling network that spans the state of California. By proliferating easily accessible hydrogen stations, they’re enabling the widespread adoption of electric fuel cell vehicles.  And bringing the future of true zero emissions into the here and now.

Our Role

FirstElement Fuel, Inc. contracted Johnson-Peltier to take over the Sunnyvale project and complete the remaining tasks of the 1,600 kilograms capacity station with 5 fueling positions (four H70 nozzles and one H35 nozzle).

Johnson-Peltier provided: Managed Permits w/ Municipality, Coordination with Utilities, Installed 200A SCE Meter Main Pedestal, Installed 15kVA Transformer, Installed (4) Disconnects 480V & 120V, Installed Site-Wide Grounding, Installed Compressor Unit, Installed New Feeder & Utility Meter, Installed Transformer, Switchgear and PLC, Installed Galvanized Rigid Metal Conduit & Cabling, including all Seal Offs to meet area classification requirements, Installed Instrumentation Tubing & Valves, Installed Hydrogen Lines from Compress & Tanks to Dispensers, Installed Owner Furnished Cameras & Flame Detectors, Installed Lighting Control Panel, Coordinated activities with subcontractors to ensure maximum productivity at each site and minimize trade stacking, Document and verify all aspects of the electrical installation to minimize check out and commissioning activities, QA/QC Test and Document all Controls for Quality Assurance
